Description of the holiday rental
Stylish 3-room maisonette on the top floor of the Löwen apartment house in Hospental. The historic house - formerly Hotel Löwen - is located in the centre of the picturesque, rustic mountain village, just 3 km from Andermatt. Skiing, hiking, biking and golfing in a magnificent mountain landscape will delight you. And if you like, you can stroll along the Lido of Ascona on Lake Maggiore within 1 hour's drive. After an active day, you can relax on our new comfortable sofa in front of the fireplace. The kitchen has now also been completely redesigned and equipped to a high standard. From the living room you can enjoy a wonderful view over the roofs of Hospental to Andermatt.
Living room: fireplace, satellite TV, radio with CD/cassette player, games, small library. Kitchenette with electric cooker (induction, oven), dishwasher, sink, refrigerator. Complete crockery, fondue/raclette machine, coffee machine, toaster, kettle.
The sleeping area is accessible via a steep staircase. Bedroom 1 with a double bed (160x200) and a small work place, bedroom 2 with a large double bed (180x200). Both rooms have large skylights.
Free WLAN. Lift, sauna in the house, ski cellar, bicycle cellar, own parking space. The clearance height to the parking space is limited (1.80m)!
In winter, a free shuttle bus runs between Hospental and Andermatt.
Our flat is located in the Aparthaus Löwen on the village square of Hospental. The Löwen was formerly a well-known inn, which was rebuilt in 1690 a few years after the great village fire. Goethe stayed at the Löwen twice during his travels over the Gotthard. The house was rebuilt and extended several times over the years. By converting it into condominiums at the end of the 1970s, it was possible to preserve the historic building, unlike most of the old grand hotels in the Urseren Valley.
