Lido & thermae apartment

This airy, second-floor studio apartment (with lift) for 3 people, is in a unique building, with spectacular views over Lake Maggiore. The building is in front of the Lido di Locarno and the Locarno Spa, which is an ideal place for you to relax and rejuvenate. The apartment combines relaxation and well-being with the delights of Locarno, just a short walk away.

The main studio area is flooded with light thanks to large windows and a glass door which leads out to a private balcony. The balcony is furnished with a dining table and chairs, so guests can enjoy meals al fresco. Back indoors the seating area has a contemporary sofa, flat-screen TV, plus a dining table and chairs. The separate kitchen is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a Nespresso machine.

On the 7th floor of the building, there is a spacious roof terrace with breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains beyond. Outside on the terrace guests will find sunloungers for relaxation. There is also a communal relaxation area indoors with showers and WC’s.

Sleeping
There are two pull-down single beds in the living area and the sofa converts into another single bed.

Bathroom
The tiled bathroom has a shower, basin and WC.

Location
The apartment is opposite the Lido di Locarno swimming pool and spa complex, which is open all year round. It consists of indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a thermal pool and numerous water slides. Extensive lawns lead down to Lake Maggiore and a beach, there are sun loungers where you can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Guests can enjoy La Dolce Vita, with a Swiss touch in the centre of Locarno, which is just a short walk from the apartment. Here you will find excellent restaurants and bars, as well as delightful squares and tempting boutiques. The Thursday market in Piazza Grande combines a farmers market where you can pick up the best local produce with stalls selling regional crafts and second-hand clothes, books etc.

Away from the lake the town of Bellinzona (30 minutes) is famous for its 3 medieval castles, which make up a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is a great day trip.

The closest international airport is in Italy, Milan Malpensa is 1 hour and 30 minutes away by car.
