This charming little house was built at the beginning of the 19th century and is the former "Remise" of the nearby grand villa (now the Heleneum Museum). This little gem has just been completely renovated and luxuriously furnished with designer furniture. It is located in the exclusive district of Lugano-Castagnola, about 500 metres from the Villa Favorita (formerly the exhibition site of the famous Thyssen-Bornemisza collection). The house is located at the foot of Monte Bré, "the sunniest mountain in Switzerland", 50 metres from Lake Lugano, with a magnificent panoramic view over the lake to the majestic Mount San Salvatore. It is also located at the beginning of the well-known idyllic footpath along the lakeshore to Gandria, a picturesque and historic border village to Italy (2km; 30min walk), past the beautiful and well-kept lido "San Domenico" (10 min walk) and some romantic restaurants directly on the lakeshore, ideal for a nice dinner for two.

The centre of Lugano is approx. 3 km away, the bus stop can be reached on foot in 3 minutes; the bus runs directly to Lugano and the railway station every 10 minutes; there is also a landing stage for the scheduled boats just 100 m away: ideal for round trips on Lake Lugano, for visiting the countless picturesque villages (such as Morcote, Melide, Caprino, Bissone, Porlezza/Italy, etc), and also for visiting the casino in Campione/Italy. The famous Lago di Como can be reached in just 30 minutes by car, where you can visit other beautiful tourist resorts such as Bellaggio, Menaggio, Como and the famous villas and parks of Lake Como.

The romantic balcony in the living room offers a marvellous lake and mountain view. The house has cable TV and Wi-Fi internet. The new kitchen (designed by DIESEL) has a microwave, induction hob, dishwasher and fridge. The bedroom is located on a gallery floor (18 square metres) with a comfortable double bed (200 x 200 cm), with exit to a private garden terrace (20m2), overlooking the lake. The new bathroom (with shower) is tiled with precious granite (Pietra Smeralda) and has a window. On the ground floor there is a garage and an additional parking space in front of the house.
