The beautiful maisonette flat is located on the first floor of a high-quality renovated house in traditional Engadine style. Decorated with sgraffito and in a quiet location, the house fits into the surroundings and promises a wonderful holiday. On the main floor of the flat is the large living/dining area, with a comfortable sofa, fireplace, cosy dining area and huge panoramic window overlooking the balcony, garden and mountain peaks. The kitchen, the smaller bedroom and a bathroom with shower and WC are also located here. An internal wooden staircase leads to the attic with gallery, master bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen and windows new in 2022. The interior design is tastefully individual and personal. There is information about the surrounding area and excursion possibilities. There are also books and games for hopefully rare rainy days. Thanks to its location on the outskirts of the village, it is only a few minutes' walk to the open fields and the starting point for mountain hikes and the Lower Engadin cross-country ski trails. Shopping facilities and a variety of restaurants are also just a few minutes' walk away. Excursion possibilities: Zernez and its surroundings offer countless excursion possibilities. In summer, wonderful hikes, bike tours, climbing gardens, horse riding excursions, tobogganing, a visit to the National Park, impressive trips on the Bernina and Glacier Express, helicopter tours, carriage rides, boat trips, a leisurely stroll through one of the Italian markets (Chiavenna, Livigno, Tirano), as well as in Poschiavo or the famous Laret market every second Thursday in Pontresina. In winter, inspiring winter hikes, cross-country skiing tours, guided snowshoe or ski tours, horse riding excursions, a visit to the National Park Centre, adventure trips on the Bernina or Glacier Express, full moon trips on the Rhaetian Railway to Alp Grüm, helicopter tours, shopping in the dazzling town of St. Moritz. However, the undisputed number one attraction is the 170.3 square kilometre Swiss National Park, the largest nature reserve in the country. In winter, however, it lies under a deep blanket of snow and gives visitors the cold shoulder. However, the visitor centre with its fantastic multimedia exhibition is also open in winter. Summer: Zernez and Brail are not only fascinating as a gateway to the national park, but also with authentic Engadine architecture and lifestyle and an excellent tourist infrastructure: with the attractively designed family and wellness pool, the mini golf course, the children's playground and the large campsite, they offer the best conditions for an eventful holiday. There is an impressive network of hiking trails, cycle paths and bike trails on the doorstep of these friendly villages. In Brail, in addition to the attractive hiking trails to the Upper and Lower Engadine and around the village, there is also a bowling alley at the Hotel Post. Winter: The friendly Engadin communities are also a tranquil starting point for the region's large ski areas. And the cross-country ski trails start right on the doorstep, leading into the vastness of the Upper Engadine, down into the wild and romantic Lower Engadine and around Zernez/Brail. Those who like it particularly natural can book a guided snowshoe tour, for example on the Ofen Pass.
