Description of the holiday rental
The cozy, very quiet chalet is located in the Bernese Oberland above Lake Thun - where Switzerland is most beautiful. Surrounded by a 3,000sqm plot of land, the vacation home is freely situated in solitude in the middle of a sunny mountain meadow with a magnificent view of Lake Thun and the surrounding mountains.
In addition to a spacious south-west terrace and adjacent covered pergola with fireplace, it offers a cozy living-dining room (satellite TV, Internet WLAN) with centrally heated tiled stove, 3 bedrooms with space for 5 people, a functional kitchen (ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher), as well as two bathrooms with shower/bathtub and underfloor heating.
The chalet is an ideal place to relax in the tranquility of the mountain world. Various hiking tours start practically at the front door. The nearby lake offers all kinds of water sports. A care of the house on site is given.
Parking is available in a lot directly in front of the house, a garage is also available.
In the nearby village of Aeschi (2 km)there are all stores for daily needs (supermarket, baker, butcher, newspapers, stationery, drugstore, bank). In addition, the larger towns in the area such as Thun (10 min.) and Interlaken (15 min.) or the quickly accessible capital city of Bern (30 min.) offer all shopping opportunities.
In the health resort of Interlaken (approx. 15 km) there is an 18 hole golf course. From there also starts the Jungfraujoch-Bahn, which - passing the ski resort Grindelwald near the ice giants Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau - leads through the Eiger north face up to an altitude of 3,500 meters.
