Description of the holiday rental
Small charming flat in ground-floor of an old chalet in the picturesque hamlet of Wengwald (5 min. walk to station), with marvelous view to the Jungfrau and the Lauterbrunnen valley. Two bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen and bathroom. Terrace in front of kitchen.
Winter guests: Your skiing day starts with 5 minutes walk to Wengwald station, from where you can take a train to Kleine Scheidegg. There is no road ACCESS to Wengen. Access is by train.
The space: Two bedrooms and an eat-in kitchen. Toilet with bath and shower. Partly covered veranda in front of kitchen. The flat is rustic, simple, but cozy and comfortable. No sofa, so chilling is either done on the bed or on the deckchairs when it's warm outside. There is an electric heating panel as well as a wood stove in the eat-in kitchen. Space is ideal for 2 to 4 persons.
Guest access: Guests have access to the entire ground-floor apartment. There are two other apartments in the house (first floor and second floor) that are occupied at times. Guests can access the washer and dryer, the garden, the woodshed and a small workshop at the back of the house.
Other things to note: All beddings and towels are included in the price.
Access: Please note that there is no road access to Wengen area. The road stops in Lauterbrunnen. Guests arriving by car need to park their vehicle in Lauterbrunnen and take a train from there to Wengwald or Wengen to access the house. Therefore, we recommend travelling to the Jungfrau region by public means.
Tourist Tax: please note that the municipality and the caonton collect a tourist tax of CHF 4.30 (approx. 4 USD) per person per night. This tax is to be paied on site.
